Shirley has been in the catering trade all her working life and has now fulfilled her ambition of owning her own restaurant. Priding herself on her menu of fresh food, preferring to buy locally whenever possible, cooked in her own kitchen.
On a typical day, Shirley would call into local shops to select fresh vegetables and potatoes for her homemade chips. We have customers who bring in produce they have grown themselves (usually organically) to use in our kitchen.
The regular menu is fairly concise but customers seem to prefer it this way, knowing that everything on it will be to a very high standard. The blackboard which displays the daily specials, when added to the regular menu, usually includes: Meats such as Venison, Duck and Gammon along with various homemade Curry dishes and other seasonal delights. Our Sunday Roast lunches are very popular and booking is advisable. A range of Tapas are always available in the bar.
